Shift Date Planner
Compare two off-duty windows, add the recovery time each person needs, and create a realistic 30-, 60-, or 90-minute plan. The calculation happens only in this browser.
Find a rested overlap
Private by design: this tool does not create an account, store the dates, or send the schedule entries to Nurse Singles.

Enter both off-duty windows. Recovery and travel buffers are applied before the date time is suggested.
Why the recovery buffer matters
An off-duty hour is not automatically a good dating hour. A person finishing a 12-hour shift may still need a commute, food, a shower, decompression, family responsibilities, or sleep. The planner moves each person's usable start time forward by the recovery buffer they choose, then adds a shared travel or video-setup buffer.
The result is intentionally conservative. It is better to suggest a shorter plan when both people are rested than to treat exhaustion as proof that someone is not interested. The planner does not decide whether a person is fit to drive, work, or meet; each person must make that decision for themselves.
Use broad windows, not protected schedules
Do not paste an employer schedule, patient assignment, facility roster, or exact location into a dating profile or message. For planning, a broad statement is enough: “I finish nights Thursday morning and can meet after I sleep,” or “My next open window is Saturday afternoon.”
When sharing the result with another person, confirm the date, general location, duration, and cancellation plan. Keep the exact workplace, home address, employee badge, and clinical information private. For a first meeting, use a staffed public location, separate transportation, and a trusted-person check-in.
When there is no overlap
No overlap does not automatically mean no compatibility. Try another off-duty window, reduce the plan to 30 minutes, schedule a short video introduction, or wait for the next shared day off. Do not remove sleep or safety buffers simply to force a result.

Tool scope
This planner performs simple calendar arithmetic and does not provide medical, fatigue, transportation, employment, or safety advice. It stores nothing and makes no decision about whether a person should meet, drive, work, or sleep. Corrections can be sent through the contact page.
